Authenticator 2.3

The Bouqt Authenticator is a multi-factor authentication code generator designed to enhance the security of accounts through 2-Step Verification for services such as Google and similar platforms. It provides an additional layer of protection during the sign-in process.

This application supports Bouqt Authentication™, necessary for Bouqt app's multi-factor verification process.

• Off the grid: Does not transmit or receive data over the internet, ensuring offline security.
• Secure: Utilizes iOS’s built-in encrypted keychain to securely store authentication keys.
• Smart: Supports both time-based (TOTP) and counter-based (HOTP) one-time passwords, adhering to RFC 4226 and 6238 standards.
• Groups: Allows users to organize codes into groups, aiding management when multiple keys are involved for quick access.
• Clear: Features a straightforward and easily readable user interface, facilitating efficient code reading.

It is important to note that, to mitigate security risks, the Authenticator app does not perform any online backups. Sensitive data, specifically 2FA keys, are stored securely within the iPhone's keychain. Consequently, only encrypted backups via iTunes or iCloud will include these keys. Restoring a device from such backups will restore all codes along with the app, as the keychain itself is recoverable through the backup process.

However, it is strongly recommended to back up your 2FA secret keys separately using a dedicated password manager, distinct from your primary authentication credentials. This precaution helps prevent loss of access to your accounts in case of data corruption or device issues.
